Update for Wednesday, October 2. Good news and bad news today. The good news is that our annual Warehouse Inventory review went very smoothly, and we actually finished up early. So fulfillment has now resumed!
The bad news, as some of you may have heard, is that the dock workers at all Gulf Coast and East Coast ports have gone on strike. As a result, deliveries of all cargo between Houston and Boston have now been halted. This will have a substantial impact on the delivery of games in the short term (potentially through the election, and possibly through the end of the year).
Thankfully, Marvel United: Multiverse has not been affected because the containers for Retailer orders has already entered the US. But all other titles expected to arrive in the next 3 months are potentially affected. Thankfully, West Coast ports remain open. However, they do not have the capacity to handle all international arrivals and departures of container cargo. So while some games will enter the country, it's not clear which ones or when.
We do not know how long the strike will last. Our hope is that the parties (the ILA (representing the workers) and the USMX (representing shipping companies and port managers) are able to resolve the strike quickly and to their mutual satisfaction. In the meantime, we will continue to provide the best estimates we can based on information as we receive it.
All that said, we will continue to fulfill what we have from our existing stock. Fulfillment of Barrage: New Lands is our only recent arrival that we're still fulfilling.
